The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has selected Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Kano State.
Abdussalam, a former deputy governor of the state, emerged after one of the leading contenders for the ticket, Nasiru Gawuna, stepped aside to contest for the Kano Central Senatorial seat.
Gawuna had earlier rejected the senatorial offer but later accepted it after holding consultations with his political associates and supporters.
